CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2001--Scaletta Moloney Armoring today announced
it has opened a new facility in Detroit, hiring Daniel Russell as its Director

dealers The facility will be responsible for engineering new armor systems
and for researching and developing the latest bullet and blast-resistant technologies.
Mr. Russell has worked in the automotive armoring and design fields for 15 years.
His experience includes designing and producing an array of specialized armored
vehicles for two of the leading Detroit engineering firms that support U.S.

dealers automakers.
Vehicle armoring often involves working with the `Big 3' manufacturers, as well
as with Detroit-based military units,'' said Joe Scaletta, president of Scaletta
Moloney Armoring. ``We felt that establishing an engineering and R&D facility
in Detroit would allow us to serve those entities even better. When we had the
opportunity to hire a manager with the automotive design and armoring experience
of Dan Russell, we gladly jumped at it.''
This news comes on the heels of the company's September announcement that it
had changed its name from Moloney Coachbuilders to Scaletta Moloney Armoring.

and service offerings to corporate clients and business executives in the U.S.
and overseas. The company had previously armored vehicles primarily for the
U.S. government--armoring more passenger vehicles for the government over the
last decade than all other armoring companies combined.
